Communications consultancy
We took the client’s design, which avoids the tabular layout of so many websites though it requires a more advanced construction technique, and translated it onto the Web. The website has a unique, but efficient, navigation system which we hand coded.
Languages: valid XHTML & CSS, JavaScript
Note: The work listed above is in order of publishing date, very largely.
To help to get the most out of the medium, the websites:
- use up-to-date, modern coding (not the less flexible tables-based way)
- use a lightweight coding style
- are near (if not actually) 100% "web standards"-compliant i.e.:
-- validate to XHTML 1.0 strict (latest work)
-- validate to CSS3 (latest work) or CSS2, with fixes for Microsoft's lagging browsers. (Read about Web Standards: Standards! What standards?)
- and achieve a minimum accessibility of WCAG level A (auto tests) at least, usually. (Read about accessibility: Accessibility, UK law…)
